IATSO har i en årrekke hatt konferanser om forebygging av seksuelle overgrep mot barn ved å fokusere på dem som utøver slik atferd. 30.august – 1.sepember arrangeres konferansen i Trondheim.
IATSO er en forkortelse av The International Association for the Treatment of Sexual Offenders. Hovedtemaet på årets konferanse er «Sex offender treatment in a lifespan perspective – New challenges from social media and from children and adolescents with harmful sexual behavior.»

"Jeg synes det er bra at fagfeltet har blitt mer opptatt av å forebygge overgrep og seksuelle krenkelser som er utøvd av andre barn og unge. I dag kaller vi det for barn og unge med bekymringsfull eller skadelig seksuell atferd. IATSO 2023 vil ha stort fokus på denne siste gruppen, sier Oddfrid Skorpe Tennfjord. Hun er psykolog på RVTS Midt og en del av arrangementskomiteen."
